Indicator purpose

Ham RSI displays the calculated On Balance Volume for the ticker and timeframe. This value is an accumulation of Volume per bar, added if the Close price is above the Previous Close, or subtracted if the Close price is below the Previous Close.

Settings:General

• Maximum number of bars study will reference - default is Auto-detect.
• Update on every tick - default is Checked - you may Uncheck to improve performance, but the indicator will not be recalculated until the end of the current bar.
• Load additional data for accumulative calculations - default is unchecked.

Settings:Inputs

• HistoryLength specifies the number of bars to use in the calculation of OBV. Default is 50.
• Offset specifies how many bars to skip before starting the calculation.

Settings:Alerts

This Indicator does not currently support Alerts, but that may be a feature of a future release.

Examples:

The following RadarScreen shows examples of two tickers - one with a positive OBV (green), and one with a negative OBV (red). Green indicates that the accumulated balance of volume for the past 50 bars has been more volume on gaining days (where Close exceeds Previous Close). Red indicates that the accumulated balance of volume for the past 50 bars has been more volume on losing days (where Close is below Previous Close).
